The Department of Film and Media Studies and the Integrated Media Arts MFA Program (the grad program for our department) will be hosting an event coming up very soon. If you would like to attend and write a short report on what you learned, this can be used as “extra credit.”

THREE TOURS by Bety Yu - Three U.S. military veterans, Nicole Goodwin, Ramon Mejia and
Ryan Holleran, work to heal their wounds and batle with PTSD following their deployments in
Iraq. The flm follows them as they advocate for mental health treatment for veterans and an

ANOTHER BROTHER by Tami Gold - Documentary about the life of Black Vietnam veteran Clarence Fitch. The flm tells of Clarence’s experience as an 18-year-old marine in Vietnam and his return home, where he spent years struggling with a heroin habit. Clarence shares the impact that his war experience had on him, his difcult recovery from drugs and his work as an ant-war activist.
